Tucked between the River Mersey and the River Dee, our corner of The Wirral peninsula is steeped in history. The area known as Bromborough is even mentioned in the Domesday Book of 937AD.
Ideally placed for city, coast and countryside, it’s no wonder Daniel Thwaites Brewery saw the potential of the Dibbinsdale in 2005 and subsequently purchased the site. Since then the Dibbinsdale has been sympathetically and cleverly redeveloped, creating the sleek contemporary exterior you see today - and the striking interior featuring period pieces and fireplaces reclaimed from the original building.
Each year visitors flock to The Wirral for a host of reasons, not least because we’re the home of the English Golf Riviera. Our championship golf clubs will enable you to tee off in style. Why not visit Bromborough Golf Club - Wirrals Parkland Jewel.
But for those of you who don’t want to spend all day wedged in a bunker, there are plenty of other attractions - racecourses, museums, historic cities, extensive nature reserves. And miles of sandy beaches to tide you over!
